Michael was born and raised in Salzburg, Austria.  Growing up in such a culturally rich and historic environment, it is not surprising he was drawn to art and nature at an early age.

 

As a child Michael was introduced to photography by his father. From there, the seed was planted. Another interest that developed early in his life was for the new emerging computer world of which he found himself fascinated.

 

His schooling lead to the prestigious School of Aeronautics in Eisenstadt, Austria, and although few are given this opportunity he eventually realized this was not his true calling.

 

His special interest was the ability to create by virtue of computer programming.  This took over his life in a wonderful way.  The balance of artistic ideas and creativity with the rapid fire technology growth blended together to help create the person he has become, who is on top of this ever changing world of technology.

 

After starting his own software business in Germany he was on his way to developing a keen sense for business and continues the on going development needed to be successful.  Michael moved on with a business in Austria and then relocated to Miami in 1994.  In just three short years Starzen Technologies was born.  This is a company that specializes in custom software design and has clients world wide that seek his expertise.

 

Never forgetting the love of photography and the wonderful beginnings that his father taught him, he began photographing his daughter as she figure skates. This has lead to the development of Palms West Photo in 2003 where you will find a wide diversity of athletic event photos. With the combination of years of taking action shots in the freeze frame world of competitive athletics and the tremendous patience of sometimes hours spent waiting for just that right instant, Michael is able to capture the moment in nature that will “WOW” us.

 

His desire to shoot with the best equipment available today and using the newest technology coupled with a keen eye for composition lead to such beautiful pictures we all would be envious to have.
